Grand Turkey Tour 2011
Join us as we explore fabulous Turkey on our special 16 day tour commencing 21 August 2011. (N.B. other departure dates are also available).
Our journey commences in Istanbul with a tour of this amazing city straddling east and west, including the Topkapi Palace, a Turkish Tea House. The old city centre is a maze of cobbled lanes and beautiful courtyards with classical buildings, markets, forts, museums and galleries.
We have 2 days visiting the Gallipoli Peninsula including ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine, Chunuck Bair and the Kapatebe War Museum.
We then head south-east along the coast to Kusadasi and Ephesus – where you can walk along 2,000 year old marble streets, visit the temple of Hadrian, the House of the Virgin Mary and marvel at the well preserved ancient ruins. Then it’s on to Marmaris, Rhodes Island and a day cruise along the Turquoise Coast.
The tour also includes the ruins at Pamukkale, hot pools, ancient Anatolia, the home of the Whirling Devishes, Silk Road towns, Avanos Bronze Age pottery village, and the fairy chimneys, rock houses and monasteries of Cappadocia
This is a comprehensive 16 tour day package and includes quality 3-4 star hotel accommodation, transfers, breakfast daily, welcome dinner and all entrances as per the itinerary.
